At the beginning of the 1960s, Pablo Picasso chose three S.T Dupont lighters to use in his art. In the Chinese lacquer surfaces, he engraved a Harlequin on one lighter and a Pierrot figure on another, as gifts for his son and daughter-in-law.
Today, these lighters are part of the personal collection of Mrs Ruiz Picasso.
On the third lighter, which he gave to a friend, he engraved a faun, a recurring motif in Picasso’s work which is often considers to be a form of self-portrait. S.T. Dupont is proud that its objects were chosen by such a prestigious artist and, to commemorate the occasion, has created the limited edition “faun” lighter.
This exceptional limited collection consists of:
Pocket lighters 6,000
Jeroboam table lighters 500
“Secret” carriage clocks 500
