Making a powerful debut for its 75th year anniversary, claiming the title of the most complicated Dupont lighter ever produced. After numerous impressive and unique ventures dedicated to pushing the boundaries of lightermaking – just think of the Dupont complication lighter with its precious vault case – Dupont really is flexing its muscles here in an effort to show off its capabilities and know how in more traditional segments of haute creation. The result is a symphony of 200 parts that took four years to develop and required twenty-one weeks to complete.
At millimeters wide, although the Dupont’s Complication Lighter looks bold in one’s hand, it is beautifully proportionate. S.T.Dupont, one of the few brands with a truly coherent design DNA across most all its collections, has not sacrificed aesthetics and wearability for the sake of mechanical complexity.
Like watches, thanks to the heavily skeletonized body – which still has a vault lock to open the lighter with a secret code and nicely visible micro-mechanics – basically, most of the function’s of the Dupont’s Complication Lighter is visible.
This creation is homage to the Maison Dupont’s 75 years of lightermaking craftsmenship highlighting the master goldsmith know-how.
