Named The Earthly Dragon, the fountain pen celebrates one of the most mythical creatures, the dragon — representing luck, wealth, wisdom, and power. This limited edition, created in 2024, dedicates to the Hovering Dragon.

A dragon figure winds around the cap and barrel, its eyes set with blue sapphires. The finely crafted head appears in relief on the Ag 925 sterling silver cap, while its engraved body wraps around the barrel, adorned with sparkling diamonds. The character 璃, which originally signifies “colored glaze” or “crystal mineral”, adds symbolic depth to the design. The barrel features a white to blue lacquer gradient evoking the skies where the Hovering Dragon reigns. The design of pen is enriched with fittings made of Au 750 solid signature gold and a blue iolite set in the cone. The handcrafted nib, also in Au 750 gold, is delicately engraved with a motif of auspicious waves—an homage to Chi Wen, the dragon’s ninth son, a water guardian often seen in traditional Chinese architecture, known for protection from floods and fires. The cap top is crowned with the Montblanc emblem set in black onyx and shielded by sapphire crystal.

Magical creature Dragon winds around the Au 750 white gold cap and barrel solid Au 750 white gold cap and barrel, brought to life through detailed hand-engraving. Its body is adorned with an array of blue, grey, and black sapphires, symbolizing clouds and rain—elements of the celestial realm where the Hovering Dragon reigns. Blue sapphires illuminate the dragon’s eyes, while its spine is crafted from elegant white jade. Additional engraved motifs on the cap and barrel represent auspicious clouds, enhancing the overall symbolism.
