Russia’s beautiful architecture is the inspiration behind the FIFA World Cup tribute pens created by S.T. Dupont.
S.T. Dupont made the news after it was revealed that French President Emmanuel Macron gifted a bespoke item created by them to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a wedding present. The company was part of another world famous celebration: the FIFA World Cup which took place in Russia in 2018. In honor of the occasion, S.T. Dupont created a limited edition collection of writing instruments. The collection includes 2 pens.
In total, there are two types of bronze pens with World Cup symbols. Both are decorated with bas-reliefs depicting some of Russia’s most famous and beautiful architectural marvels. It is presented on a black lacquered wooden base which also includes an ink pot, the lids shaped like soccer balls and, a pen stand that resembles a stadium and a football field. The pen itself is also topped with a shiny soccer ball.
The S.T. Dupont Football Haute Creation Ultra Exclusive collection was created especially for Russia and has a Limited Edition of 11 pieces – exactly as many as there are players on the football team.
Meanwhile the second pen in the collection is much simpler, with a slender black body and a cap that features the distinctive hexagon and pentagon football (soccer) pattern. It is presented in a black box on a special surface that is designed with the markings seen on a football field. The Edition is Limited to 500 pieces. Ballpoint Pen/415188R is also available.
