Limited Edition Padron L2 Lighter
S.T. Dupont and Padron are brands synonymous with luxury and quality. The S.T. Dupont Padron Limited Edition is a homage to the cigar manufacturer, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Padrón cigars.
Padrón Cigars was founded by Cuban émigré José Orlando Padrón, in 1964. He built his new company in Miami but the family’s cigar-making roots dated back to the 1850’s. Across generations, his family made a living planting tobacco in the fertile fields of the Cuban province of Pinar del Río. His ancestors had been farmers in the Canary Islands. José Orlando Padrón’s dream was to make a cigar that reminded him of the “habanos” he enjoyed in Cuba and share them with the world.
José O. Padrón encountered many obstacles and the company’s goals were at times interrupted by war, embargo and a failed plot to kidnap him from his cigar factory. The Padrón brand endured and they are an elite leader in the world of premium, handmade cigars. Padrón Cigars had been managed by three generations of the Padrόn family.
The Ligne 2 Lighter is made of Chinese lacquer with burgundy-red accents and gold trim. The prestigious “Padrón” logo is rendered on the lighter’s white lacqered face. It also bears the owner’s signature, José Orlando Padrón, stylized in gold on the back of the lighter.
Each piece is individually numbered, and S.T. Dupont has released only 500 of these Limited Edition Ligne 2 lighters.
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the prestigious Padrón brand, the S.T. Dupont has also launched MaxiJet Lighter limited to 500 pieces, and Padrón porcelain Ashtray which comes with two gold-tone cigar bridges, limited to 200 pieces.
