MONTBLANC Ateliers Prives / Tricolore Flag

The Montblanc Flag Pen Edition writing instruments are among the rarest Skeleton Editions ever produced by the Artisan Shop (Ateliers Prives).

Tricolore Flag – one of Montblanc’s most harmoniously-designed skeleton pens, and a worthy tribute to Gallic ideals of honor and justice.

Created in 2002 to commemorate the 190th anniversary of the French Tricolore flag, the symbol of liberty, equality and fraternity, and emblem of the Revolution.

The Limited Edition is made on a base of 149 in transparent resin and filigree casing in 18K white gold.

The gemstones on the cap in 104 precious-cut sapphires (0.51 carat), diamonds (0.45 carat) and rubies (0.57 carat) represent the French flag. The Medium 18K rhodium-plated gold nib is engraved with an image of L’ Arc de Triomphe.

In addition, Montblanc Ateliers Prives Artisan Shop released three other Limited Editions of 1 piece in “Blue”, “White” and “Red”, with inset gems to the interior and rings at each end of the pen. These three variants were only sold in the Montblanc boutique on Champs-Elysèes in Paris.
