S.T. DUPONT Diamond Drops

Limited Edition “Diamond Drops / Palladium finishes

“Diamond Drops” is characterized by a series of vertical lines that continue the traditional diamond head decoration, dating back to the Middle Ages and becoming a modern legend with its appearance. S.T. Dupont returns to the popular motif with this Limited Edition Collection.

In 1952, S.T. Dupont introduced the Diamond Head pattern, a combination of engraved vertical and horizontal lines. A hand-crafted luxury product, the pyramid-based design gave rise to contemporary and exclusive objects. The story continues, and now S.T. Dupont has created a witty composition of the Diamond Head pattern and genuine diamonds, producing a limited edition of exceptional pieces.

The collection features a succession of vertical lines ending in diamond head lines set with diamonds where certain lines join up. The graphic contrast between the diamond head decoration and the platinum reflection creates a play of light that finds its sparkling echo in the icy transparency of the genuine diamonds.

Each product in this series is adorned with brilliant cut diamonds, GVS2 quality. The clips of the pens are adorned with 22 diamonds (0.26-carats). The fountain pen features a hand-crafted 18K white gold nib. The Ligne 2 Lighter is also decorated with 22 diamonds and the Gatsby Lighter is studded with 16 diamonds. The polished platinum finish and diamond head pattern recall the skyline of skysrapers. It also seems to be designed to simulate the rain clouds from which diamond drops fall.

The limitation number evokes the year ‘1952’, when the diamond head pattern was designed in the S.T. Dupont workshops.
