The translucent green lacquer of the fountain pen is reminiscent of Hayworth’s seductive satin dress on a popular Gilda movie poster of the time. The wavy guilloche on the cap and barrel crafted from 18K gold and the mandarin-coloured citrine on the clip symbolize Rita Hayworth’s bright shining wavy hair.
The shape of the writing instrument is reminiscent of the on-screen temptress’ sensuous dancing figure, while the diamond studded cap top and cap ring are a reference to the sheer glamor she projected as Hollywood royalty. Each diamond on the cap is carefully selected and handset by an experienced master stone setter from Montblanc. The handcrafted 18K gold nib features a hole shaped like a heart – in honor of the goddess of love, while the pen is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of pearl.
