The collaboration between Montblanc and Airbus, both companies are based in Hamburg, Germany – pays tribute to the greatest milestone in civil aviation and an incredible technical feat. Celebrating the world’s biggest airliner, the Airbus 380, Montblanc has developed a Limited Edition – Skeleton A 380 in collaboration with Airbus. Inspired by the imposing aircraft, its extraordinary design features the distinctive two rows of windows and the A 380’s typical shape. Now, the first A380 in Lufthansa’s fleet is taking to the air on 6th June 2010 when it transports the German national soccer team to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
A380 Limited Edition
The Montblanc Limited Edition, the Airbus A 380 is crafted of gleaming 18K solid white gold with platinum-plated fittings. The breakthough double-decker design of the plane is reflected in the twin rows of portholes in the barrel, through which dark blue precious resin is glimpsed. A total of 42 diamonds adorn the rings of the writing instrument, while the top of the cap bears the Montblanc star in 750 white gold (unique case in existing MB production). An engraved 18K gold nib with platinum plating adds the perfect finishing touch to this exceptional Limited Edition Airbus A380. The Montblanc emblem in 750 solid white gold at the top of the cap reflects the nose of the A 380. A splendid instrument, one of Montblanc’s most compelling designs.
