S.T. Dupont partners with Casablanca in a distinctive collaboration that blends neo-antique design with the elegance of sport. Continuing a legacy of creative alliances with the fashion world — including Karl Lagerfeld, The Row, and Saint Laurent — this new chapter draws inspiration from the world of tennis and the origins of modern athleticism.
Founded in 2018 by Charaf Tajer, Casablanca is renowned for transforming après-sport codes into a wardrobe where sophistication meets ease, uniting luxury craftsmanship with a relaxed aesthetic. Known for its vibrant palettes and hand-painted illustrations, the Maison shares with S.T. Dupont a dedication to artistry and refinement. Tajer, a passionate cigar enthusiast and collector of vintage lighters, brings his optimism and global perspective to the collaboration, resulting in bold colors, contemporary lines, and striking motifs.
Influenced by the grandeur of Ancient Greece and aligned with Casablanca’s Autumn–Winter 2024 narrative, S.T. Dupont’s signature lighters, writing instruments, and accessories are reinterpreted with Hellenic architectural motifs and athletic imagery. Fluted columns, wave friezes, and stylised tennis figures merge seamlessly with Casablanca’s emblematic patterns, forming three distinct universes: Tennis, Mosaic, and Leather Goods.
Tennis
An intrinsic theme for Casablanca, tennis shapes the first creative line of this collaboration. The Ligne 2 lighter, cigar humidor, and ashtray are adorned with lacquer panels inspired by the geometry of tennis courts and classical Greek ornamentation. Silhouettes of players, reminiscent of those on Panathenaic amphorae, add a refined historical dimension.
Mosaic
A recurring element in Casablanca’s design language, the mosaic — an ancient decorative craft — is reimagined by S.T. Dupont’s master artisans. Slimmy, Biggy, and the Line D Eternity pen feature intricate guilloché metalwork or mosaic patterns, enhanced with layers of transparent lacquer for depth and brilliance.
