The black mother-of-pearl on the cap and barrel of the Limited Edition 8 is a reminiscence of the sumptuous jewellery of the Renaissance, The creation is enriched with Au 750 white gold fittings and inlays set with 342 diamonds in brilliant cut (~1,4 ct). The ornamental work on the rings and clip are inspired by Renaissance patterns as François I was called the “Renaissance King”, and the Au 750 solid gold, rhodium-coated nib is decorated with a fleur-de-lis, the symbol of the French royal house. The Montblanc emblem is made of mother-of-pearl.
