Indisputably, Abraham-Louis Breguet is one of the most important watchmakers of all times. Many of his patents are in use this very day. The master set up his workshop in Paris in 1775. As a respected person at court – at a later time by the imperial family of Napoleon – he succeeded with a whole number of masterpieces. Among other things, he invented the tourbillon and the gong spring for repeating watches. His heirs carried on the family’s legacy. To this day, watches are manufactured that are committed to the famous tradition of Brequet horology. The best known models among these are: Grande Complication, Aeronavale Type XX, Heritage, Flying Tourbillon, Marine and the Classique series.

The Classique collection contains many models, with and without complications. The watches of the Classique line, inspired by the creations of the founder of the company, represent the ideal image of time: clear, precise, sustained in a strict style. All models of this line – from ultra-slim watches with manual or automatic winding to watches equipped with the most complex movements – are made in strict accordance with the technical requirements and aesthetic standards of watchmaking, as well as the traditional values of Breguet. The watches of the Classique line are the true embodiment of Breguet’s age-old tradition. The noble elements of the past, used in some models, such as the decoration of dials in the technique of “hot enamel” (grand feu) or hand-painted Arabic numerals, will cause genuine admiration among collectors and connoisseurs of the brand. Breguet has been mastering the art of engine-turned guilloché dials since 1786, and it can be found on the Breguet Classique models.
