The boldness of his designs, the quality of the gemstones that he uses and his technique influenced by the refinement of jewelry-making are expressed superbly in his impressive work.
The S.T. Dupont Haute Création “Winter Egg” is a prototype of the Winter Egg, a Fabergé egg from the 1913.
This special edition inspired by the Fabergé Egg feature hand-carved Rock Crystal and white Calcite, sublimed with diamonds, sapphires and silver snowflakes.
The Winter egg, a Fabergé egg, was one of a series of fifty-two jewelled Easter eggs, created by Russian jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé. The piece of art, which was an Easter 1913 gift for Tsarina Maria Feodorovna from Tsar Nicholas II, who had a standing order of two Easter eggs every year, one for his mother and one for his wife. It was the most expensive Easter egg ever made, designed by Alma Pihl.
