Limited Edition Fuente Opus X / 20 Year Anniversary
Celebrating 20 years of Opus X, S.T. Dupont has partnered with the Arturo Fuente Cigar Company to produce this very rare Limited Edition Collection.
The launch of the Fuente collection marks the highly sought-after Opus X cigars, paying tribute to the intricate art of crafting a premium cigar.
Arturo Fuente is a cigar family that dates back to 1912 and is run today by the charismatic Carlito Fuente, a man who Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe describes as “the Jean-Claude Biver of the cigar world” – and he isn’t wrong. He has created within the Fuente family, a line that is to Arturo Fuente what Whispering Angel is to Chateau d’Esclans: The Opus X.
When the first Fuente cigars were meticulously hand-rolled in 1912, founder Arturo Fuente could never have dreamed that his passion for cigars would become a global benchmark for the cigar industry. Four generations later, the company is still family-owned and operated in the Dominican Republic. Arturo Fuente cigars are consistently rated among the best cigars in the world. Their reputation for unsurpassed quality, with both flavor and construction, has amassed a loyal following among cigar connoisseurs. Fuente Opus X cigars are wrapped in Rosado leaves which are grown in the Chateau de la Fuente plantation in a tropic river valley in the Dominican Republic.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Carlito Fuente worked with Manny Iriarte (best known for the design work he has done for Fuente S.T. Dupont collection and Hublot products), to create artwork depicting the history of the family. Michael Reynolds, President of James Michael – Lotus International had the know-how of the products that would create the look he envisioned. The goal was to create art, not just put a logo on to a product. The result of a year’s collaboration paid off as the collection of James Michael & S.T. Dupont cigar accessories were debuted in New Orleans, LA at IPCPR.
The S.T. Dupont Line 2 lighters with a cigar burner are adorned with design and engraving on all sides of the lighter, emblazoned with the Fuente Opus X logo. The lighters are a limited edition of only 400 pieces per colour and have gold-plated finishing with Black lacquer, Red lacquer or White lacquer. Each piece is individually numbered along with a gold plated plaque presented in a custom designed high gloss wooden lacquer box.
