The Montparnasse was introduced in 1989 by S.T. Dupont as their premier pen model. Similar to previous models, the Montparnasse came in several types of finish over its solid brass body: precious metals guillochè and Chinese lacquered.
This beautiful vintage S.T. Dupont Montparnasse ballpoint pen is made of dark red or burgundy Chinese lacquer and gold-plated trim. The clip features the same Chinese lacquer inlay and is engraved with the serial number.
The Montparnasse range included two ballpoint pen variants (a medium-sized and a large girth version), a rollerball and a fountain pen of two sizes (medium and XL).
The S.T. Dupont Montparnasse series went out of production by the end of 1994.
