The S.T. Dupont company is partnering with McLaren, the British car firm and racing outfit, on a variety of non-smoking times, but also has another collection, Race Machine, with some cigar accessories.
The S.T. Dupont Limited Edition Race Machine Streamline collection pays homage to the prestigious world of Formula 1 motor racing. Since it was founded, Formula 1 has established itself as the showpiece event of motor sports. Bringing together the best drivers and engineers in the world, each year this prestigious competition captivates more than a hundred million people worldwide.
The “Race Machine” collection features the colours and codes of Formula 1, and particularly the famous checkered flag, a symbol of victory. This Limited Edition includes iconic creations by S.T. Dupont, such as the Ligne 2 Lighter and Writing Instruments from the Streamline – R line, adorned with black and red lacquer, characteristic of S.T. Dupont expertise.
Each piece is packaged in a custom S.T. Dupont Race Machine presentation box which includes a miniature bronze race car paperweight.
A miniature bronze race car paperweight accompanies each piece. The “Race Machine” is available in a Limited Edition of 1,929 numbered pieces in reference to the date of the first Monaco Grand Prix.
Made of Ceramium ACT, a new material that combines ceramics and aluminum, for a lightweight yet strong material which is very scratch resistant. The Formula 1 circuits and the checkered flag, was chosen to be the lead of the series’ design. Giving the pen a great contrast, the barrel of the pen is made of black and red lacquer with palladium finishes. At the same time, 159 squares of black lacquer beautifully adorn the cap of the pen, with the hallmark D insignia on the clip.
The 14K rhodium plated gold nib is engraved with “D” Logo. Ligne 2 Lighter also features black and red finish over palladium and the checkered flag on the lid. The streamline design of the collection induces the classic American 1930’s aerodynamic movement and follows his design “Streamline R”.
