MONTBLANC Artisan / Brandenburg Tor

One of the most extraordinary designs by Montblanc, the Brandenburger Tor has all the majestic grace of the famous Brandenburg Gate from which it draws inspiration.

Since 1789, the Brandenburg Gate has symbolized Berlin, one of Europe’s greatest hotbeds of intellectual and artistic activity. Destroyed at the end of World War II and then rebuilt, it represents a unified Germany, and thus stands for strength, reconciliation and unity.

Brandenburg Gate, German Brandenburger Tor, an early neoclassical triumphal arch, stands on the west edge of the square Pariser Platz. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building, which houses the German parliament (Bundestag).

The only remaining town gate of Berlin, was built as a conclusion of the central boulevard of the Dorotheenstadt , the boulevard Unter den Linden , in the years from 1789 to 1793, on the instructions of the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm II.

The Brandenburg Gate has served as a symbol of both the division of Germany and the country’s reunification and is one of Berlin’s most-visited landmarks.
