S.T. DUPONT Crazy Diamonds

Line D Writing Instruments and Ligne 2 Lighter

The S.T. Dupont Crazy Diamonds decor is made in Faverges in the Southeast of France. It is a free interpretation of an iconic jewelry motif known as “Diamond Head” or “Clou de Paris”. The clou – or nail – dates back to Roman age for stones (carving) and middle age for iron.

More specifically, the S.T. Dupont Crazy Diamonds uses “Clou de Paris”, a jewelry technique that uses small triangles to create the look of a diamond. For this release, the company created the effect, using a palladium finish.

The Collection is made up of: a Ligne 2 Lighter / 016319, a Fountain Pen / 410113M, a Rollerball / 412113M and a Ballpoint Pen / 415113M

The lighter receives a very fine hand polished treatment. In keeping with the jewelry tradition, the metal has been worked on like a precious stone, creating dazzling facets reminiscent of a diamond, hence the name “Crazy Diamonds”. The direction of the facets will refract light differently, giving a different perception.

Line D Medium Fountain Pen, Rollerball and Ballpoint Pen are made of black lacquer and palladium finish, again with Crazy Diamonds pattern on the cap and blazon signature on the clip.

The Line D is the S.T. Dupont’s classic line of fine writing instruments with 145 years of history. Line D was presented as a masculine and traditional line with generous and firm proportions. The collection was recently updated with the S.T. Dupont “blazon” signature embellished on the new articulated clip and the signature D in cursive script atop the pen cap. Each Line D is crafted from brass and coated with natural urushi lacquer. Each Line D pen has an ideal balance and weight based on the geometries of divine proportion.
