The Anuual Edition 2010, dedicated to the Venetian Carnival, Greek mythology and the mysterious world of fables, adds three new fascinating collectors’ items this series of exquisite writing instruments.
The Gold plated barrels bear caps with images symbolising these selected themes: “Dionysus” – a nature god of fruitfulness and vegetation, especially known as a god of wine and ecstasy, Commedia dell’Arte character “Il Capitano” – the Captain who uses bravado and excessive shows of manliness to hide his true cowardly nature, and “The Leaping Fish” (Carp/Goldfish) representing wealth and prosperity in Chinese mythology, and at the same time the carp which is a powerful symbol of strength and perseverance.
Hand-painted by master craftsmen, these filigree motifs adorn the caps that are made of the finest Meissen porcelain, whose world-famous origin is symbolized by the blue crossed swords. A gold-plated body with its fine guilloche and an 18-carat gold nib perfect the Annual Edition 2010 which is only available for a limited period of one year, the respective year being inscribed on the cap. There will be a limited edition of 300 pens per motif.
