Montblanc produced the Charlie Chaplin commemorative pen to honor one of his most popular film, “Modern Times” (1936). The intricate details has been designed to signify Chaplin’s persona: the barrel and cone suggest his baggy trousers. The rounded end of the cap resembles his legendary bowler hat and the clip in solid 18K white gold is made in the shape of his famous cane that followed Charlie Chaplin in his first and most acclaimed silent films.

The intricate cog-wheels suggest the machines and machination featured in the film. Each cog-wheel is set with a brilliant-cut white diamond (0.18ct) and the cap-top is set with a luminous mother-of-pearl Montblanc star. The Medium 18K rhodium-plated gold nib is engraved with Chaplin’s iconic accoutrements.
