The Rooster is a universal solar symbol across Eurasia, the Near and Middle East and Europe, as a bird that heralded the dawn with its crowing and that would dispel evil spirits, as the light of day dispelled darkness.
Being the epitome of fidelity and punctuality, the veneration of the Rooster in East Asia was particularly widespread, although it is best known for being the 10th of the 12 animals that were presented before the Buddha, in the Buddhist religion.

The jeweller introduced collaboration with the Maison S.T. Dupont. On this occasion, he has left the world of asphalt to immerse himself in the animal kingdom with a work that is a testament to the exquisite beauty of the fauna, particularly the Rooster.

Rooster is often associated with the Lucky Bamboo in traditional Asian paintings. Hence, the inspiration of the shape for the pen and lighter is also the lucky bamboo.
Continuing the tradition to pay homage to the Chinese Zodiac Signs, Maison Dupont in collaboration with Tournaire, transform the exquisite beauty of the Rooster into handcrafted and hand-sculpted lighters and writing instruments, which are made of gold and engraved with the figure of a rooster.
