During the Renaissance era, the Italian city of Florence was a fountain of new ideas in fine arts, architecture and philosophy. In this Gilded Age the city’s artisans rose to fame for their leather craftsmanship whose quality and skill was admired throughout Europe. Unique in the world of fine writing, each of the Montblanc Meisterstuck Great Masters writing instruments is finished with a hand stitched seam. The cap and barrel of the LeGrand sized writing instruments are encased in red Python leather. The “Ponte Vecchio” arch bridge is engraved as stylized silhouette on the cone. De Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap is made of mother-of-pearl. The Montblanc Meisterstück Great Masters fountain pen is a piston filling mechanism and has a 18K gold nib with an embossing of an Python pattern.
