Creation of a collection Chefs-Doeuvre Darchitecture, a series of exceptional and very exclusive architectural writing instruments, inspired by famous monuments all over the world. The first pens inspired by the Invalides in Paris are the Saint Basils, Cathedral in Moscow, and the Sun Pagoda In China were very successful. The 3 new series are inspired by Opera Garnier – Paris capitol – Washington Venus De Milo Louvre Museum in Paris, each theme is a very exclusive series.
The United States Capitol is the meeting place of the United States Congress, and the legislature of the Federal government of the United States, located in Washington, D.C.
Its construction started in September 18, 1793, when George Washington laid the cornerstone.
The Capitol building, is marked by its central dome and two wings, one for each chamber of Congress: the north wing is the Senate chamber and the south wing is the House of Representatives chamber.
The dome is the most emblematic and well-known part of the Capitol. It is inspired by the Pantheon in Paris. Its dimensions are impressive: it rises to 289 feet (88 meters) and its diameter reaches 95 feet (29 meters).
- Fashioned from Argentium sterling silver, the most tarnish resistant silver, each pen and base take shape in the hands of the artist. It is chased, engraved, polished by hands. The column engraving is inspired by the friezes that decorate the building in Paris at the end of the French 17th century. The inside stairs engraved with S.T. Dupont by Tournaire are in silver with a rhodium finishes. S.T. Dupont brand is engraved on the top of the pen under the dome and on the base. Fountain pen with Olympio XL 18-carats solid gold nib with rhodium decoration. The Capitol dome is in white 18K solid gold (5,1 grams on average).
