Night Symphony Bogie Bag / 412687

ST Dupont celebrates its 140th year, by releasing a range inspired by a very special bespoke order in 1947.

In the twentieth century, American movie stars Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart became icons of the brand through the creation of special collections dedicated in their honor. Recently, Hepburn and Bogart remerged as brand images as Dupont presents its 2012 Limited Editions.

The Night Symphony “Bogie Bag”

Humphrey Bogart was original leader of the Rat Pack, the American Film Institute’s Great Male Star of All Time and star of such legendary films as “Casablanca” and “The African Queen”.  So it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that when the Hollywood star wanted a simple, yet elegant, travel bag, French luxury brand ST Dupont obliged and promptly named the bag after him.

The original Bogie Bag, which the actor commissioned from ST Dupont in 1947, was essentially a stylish take on a doctor’s bag, designed at the brand’s workshop in Faverges, France, and made from oilskin canvas.

To celebrate its 140th anniversary, ST Dupont has updated the Bogie Bag – the makeover is in sync with the launch of its Night Symphony collection – and has introduced the Night Symphony Bogie. The shape of the bag has been rounded further and the bag itself is made from a black oilskin. The corners are edged with a tone-on-tone leather while a white band runs down the centre of the bag to break the dark tone.

The Night Symphony Bogie collection also includes a lighter, a set of fountain and ballpoint pens, belts and cuff links.

As a tribute to two exceptional clients of S.T. Dupont, Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, S.T. Dupont launched a new thematic edition together with.

– The Audrey Hepburn foundation

– The Humphrey Bogart foundation

– Vintage inspiration of years 40’s and 50’s
