S.T. DUPONT Art Deco

At the end of the 1910’s, decorators sought to to break away from the sinuous curves of Art Nouveau. They found many new sources of inspiration; traditional and contemporary, European and exotic. Thus differing styles such as African art and Neo classicism provided the powerful momentum for a new decorative movement that saw the arabesques of Art Nouveau make way for pure, stylised lines.

With “Art Déco”, S.T. Dupont offers a limited series inspired by the designs presented at the Decorative Arts exhibition held in Paris in April 1925. This unique collection is made up of five pieces with resolutely modern forms, chased in metal and decorated with red and black Chinese lacquer.
